It could have a living digital counterpart — one that records how the real product was built, used, stressed, repaired and whether warning signs are beginning to appear. New research commissioned by the UK’s Office for Product Safety and Standards explores whether these “Digital Twins” could transform the way unsafe products are tested, monitored, investigated and recalled.
